Working on Tiree
If you’re looking for a more fulfilling working week and want to get away from the daily grind of the city or mainland UK, this is the place. It’s more digitally connected than some parts of London, Manchester or Edinburgh. And, from experience, we’ve found it’s faster to get to most parts of the UK and Europe than from London thanks to Tiree’s two connecting flights a day. Who would have thought!

Wild Swimming
When you live on an island with more than 20 beaches, most of which are covered in golden sand, it would be crazy not to swim in it all year. This is wild swimming at its best. Out on a limb in the Atlantic ocean every day brings a new surprise. The first time you swim with seals and/or a basking shark off an empty 2 mile stretch of shallow beach your view on life changes.

There must be a reason this is the home to the next wave of young surfing legends.
Northern swells
Unlike other parts of the west coast, Tiree sits in its own amazing little climate, sheltered from the harsh winters you’ll find elsewhere. And when those winter days become spring and summer, you will feel thousands of miles away from the mainland. The long sun-filled days ignite a lust for life like no other.

A magnet, for a diverse variety of wind and wave obsessed locals, mainland marauders and international thrill seekers. It is unpredictable at the best of times, but always epic. You’re on a tiny island trapped in a hinterland between the madness of the manic, and sometimes downright frighteningly fierce Atlantic Ocean, and the rugged yet refined west coast.

10k, Half and Ultra
Tiree is an island that celebrates its beauty in the only way its residents know how. Twice a year the island invites several hundred people from around the world to run around it and challenge themselves. Like most things on Tiree these are no ordinary events. Words will never do the experience justice.

More than cocktail hour
This is not a small unplugged acoustic music session with a mix of a few locals and some tourists. This is a full on celebration of what a small island can do when it really wants to have a party in the summer. 1000s flocking to the island by any means at their disposal to be part of something that is more than music.

Winter Oasis
Never usually dropping below 7 degrees celsius. Winter is something we usually watch from a distance. The snow capped Bens announcing that we are just a little different over here. But once in a while, for a fleeting moment, the white blanket thrown over the mainland brushes over the lush and fertile island scape. Living here will never stop surprising you.
